i finally heard back from the gynecological oncologist today that i was referred to, and i have my first appointment with her on 10/23. i am scared to death that she’s going to try to convince me to hurry up and get my ovaries and fallopian tubes out, and i am really just not ready to go through menopause yet. i also have an appointment on friday (!) with a gastroenterologist who specializes in pancreatic and colon cancer. which is good because i have a family history of both, and i have a much higher risk of getting them anyway thanks to this lovely mutation of mine.
i am apparently now collecting doctors. it’s not quite the same as my animal-themed clothing collection though.
